Adilabad: Father and son jailed for life for killing relative over property feud
An Adilabad court sentenced Vanole Pandurang and his son Suryakanth to life imprisonment and fined them Rs 1,000 each for murdering Pandurang’s nephew, Vanole Eshwar Rao, in December 2023 during a land dispute.
Adilabad: A court here on Tuesday sentenced a man and his son to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each for murdering a person three years ago.
District Principal Judge K Prabhakar Rao awarded the term and fine against Vanole Pandurang and his son Suryakanth from Saathnumber area after finding them guilty of killing Vanole Eshwar Rao (32), nephew of Pandurang, by attacking him with an axe, knife and hammer over a land dispute on December 12, 2023. The court examined pieces of evidence and 20 eyewitnesses before giving the judgment.
The then SI G Naresh took up the investigation and filed the chargesheet before the court, establishing the role of the duo in the crime. SP Akhil Mahajan commended Naresh for securing the court’s conviction in the case.
