An Adilabad court sentenced Vanole Pandurang and his son Suryakanth to life imprisonment and fined them Rs 1,000 each for murdering Pandurang’s nephew, Vanole Eshwar Rao, in December 2023 during a land dispute.
An Adilabad court sentenced two men to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined them for raping a minor girl. A woman accomplice was also jailed for three months. The court directed Rs 5 lakh compensation to be paid to the survivor.
Adilabad court chief judge MR Suneetha pronounced the verdict, ordering a Munsif court to investigate into the role of policemen who took part in the encounter.
