Adilabad: Six students of Talamadugu govt school test Covid positive

Adilabad: Six students of a government school in Talamadugu have tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, leaving parents at the mandal centre a worried lot.

The pupils studying Class IX at Mandal Parishad High School and put up in a hostel for Backward Classes were diagnosed with the acute respiratory disease. They were sent for home isolation. Swabs of other students were also collected and was sent to labs for ascertaining whether they contracted the disease.


Meanwhile, Adilabad district registered 20 positive cases of Covid-19 on Sunday. It saw 130 cases in the last week. As many as 5,330 persons have been infected by novel coronavirus so far.

There are still 226 active cases. Of them, 217 patients are in home isolation while nine are undergoing treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences-Adilabad.
