Mancherial: Government Whip and Chennur MLA Balka Suman said on Saturday that administration sanction was granted for laying new roads and construction of bridges in different parts of Chennur Assembly constituency.
Suman stated that the government gave its nod to construct a 14.97 km long road from Palachettu in Mandamarri to Mamidigattu via Avadam village. The road will benefit nine villages in Mandamarri mandal. Administrative sanction was also granted for a bridge across a stream on Gangaram-Ponnaram road at a cost of Rs 1.97 crore.
The government whip said administrative sanction was accorded for construction of another bridge on Chennur-Dugunepalli village via Narayanapur at an estimated cost of Rs 4.80 crore.
Tendering process of these works would be carried out soon. A special focus was laid on improving rural road infrastructure, Suman stated, instructing officials concerned to prepare an action plan to take up the works.
