Karimnagar: Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the state government has announced payment of Rythu Bharosa to farmers within a day or two only because it was afraid of the public meeting of the BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao slated to be held in Jagtial on Monday.

Congress leaders, who criticised the BRS president for not attending the Assembly, have become jittery after the BRS announced that Chandrashekhar Rao will attend the Jagtial meeting. Srinivas Yadav made these comments while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.

Besides implementing the promises made to the public, a number of other schemes were also implemented during the BRS regime led by Chandrashekhar Rao. However, except for its demolition attitude, the Congress government has done nothing for the welfare of the public so far.

Various schemes such as KCR Kit, Dalit Bandhu, old age pension, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and others were successfully implemented by the BRS government. The Congress party, which promised to double the benefit of all the schemes before the elections, stopped them after coming to power.

Not a single project that would benefit the public was constructed during the last two and a half years. Moreover, Rs 3.5 lakh crore was borrowed.

Talking about the Jagtial meeting scheduled on Monday, he appealed to the people to participate in the meeting in large numbers and make it a grand success.
