Hyderabad: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said pre-investment activities at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, have been completed and the Executing Agency (EA) has been appointed for the main construction work.

Responding to a question by TRS MP Venkatesh Netha Borlakunta in Lok Sabha, the Union Minister said November 2023 was set as the target for completion of the project.

Regarding admissions, he said MBBS batch of AIIMS, Bibinagar, has already started from 2019-20 academic year and limited OPD services started with effect from June 2 last year at the Institute.

Funds for setting up AIIMS as a project are provided separately and released to the Executing Agency out of the allocation under Capital Head of the PMSSY budget.
