Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has expelled Mirza Rahmath Baig from the party with immediate effect, citing an alleged video leak issue.
In a statement, AIMIM Joint Secretary S.A. Hussain Anwar said Baig had been expelled from the party and was directed to immediately submit his resignation as a member of the Legislative Council to its Chairman.
The party did not provide further details about the alleged video leak in the statement. The expulsion comes amid discussions within party circles over the issue.
