Hyderabad: This August 15th, as the city prepares to celebrate Independence Day, Akan Hyderabad is turning a national holiday into an extraordinary act of community spirit.
Returning for its annual flagship initiative, Akan Aahvaanam, the lakeview destination is inviting guests to gather between 12 noon and 4 pm for an afternoon of gourmet dining and live music driven by a singular, heartfelt concept: “Pay As You Please.”
There are no set price tags and guests can enjoy a curated culinary spread and live acoustic performances, choosing to give whatever their heart dictates. Every single rupee collected during the afternoon is channelled directly into social impact, with this year’s proceeds benefiting
The Good Talk Factory Foundation, a press release said.
The funds will directly drive radical local inclusion—supporting public accessibility upgrades across Hyderabad, family-centric autism support programs, and skill-development workshops for neurodivergent youth.
That Aahvaanam takes place at Akan feels like a natural extension of what the venue represents every other day of the year. Perched directly opposite the serene waters of Durgam Cheruvu in Madhapur, Akan has established itself as one of Hyderabad’s most compelling lifestyle and entertainment landmarks.
