Karimnagar: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, KT Rama Rao termed four BJP MPs from Telangana as inefficient. People elected four BJP candidates as MPs from Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Secunderabad. However, they have done nothing for the development of their respective constituencies as well as the State. Rama Rao made these comments while inviting BJP leaders Mendi Srilatha Chandrashekhar and Nakka Padma Krishna into TRS party in a programme held in Padmanayaka function hall here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that before election, Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao promised to sanction Tribal University and resume Cement Corporation of India unit but he did not keep his promise. Going a step ahead, Nizamabad parliament member D Aravind signed a bond paper promising to establish a turmeric board within five days of his election. However, the MP forgot about his bond paper.
Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who always chants the mantra of “Desham kosam and Dharmam kosam”, failed to sanction at least a school or temple for the segment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spent Rs 1,000 crore for the development of Kashi. However, Sanjay Kumar failed to sanction at least Rs 100 crore for Vemulawada temple, which is considered as Dakshina Kashi. Talking about the union Minister of Tourism and Culture, G Kishan Reddy, Rama Rao termed the union minister as helpless minister.
State government had spent Rs 660 crore to give Rs 10,000 to each family affected by floods in Hyderabad. However, Kishan Reddy, who gave stills for photographs by standing in flood waters, failed to get a single rupee from the central government.
Whereas, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore to support flood affected people of his own Gujarat state, Rama Rao informed and found fault with the union government for showing discrimination on Telangana. After coming to power, the BJP government sanctioned 157 medical colleges, 16 IISERs, four NITs, and eight IIMs to different states. But, not a single institute was sanctioned to Telangana, the Minister alleged.
