New Delhi: The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 has delivered a record-breaking start, attracting over 38 crore customer visits in just the first two days. Over 70% of shoppers came from beyond the top nine metros, highlighting the growing participation of tier 2 and 3 cities in India’s largest festive shopping event.

Prime members enjoyed fastest-ever deliveries, with over 80 lakh products delivered within two days, while customers saved more than Rs 260 crore using SBI debit and credit cards. Sellers also passed on GST benefits worth crores through the #GSTBachatUtsav storefront, spanning appliances, fashion, and essentials.

The festival, which opened for Prime members on September 22 and for all customers on September 23, saw over 16,000 small and medium businesses (SMBs) triple their sales, with two-thirds of them from tier 2 and 3 cities such as Ghaziabad, Udupi, Rajkot, Ajmer, Faridabad, and Howrah. Categories like home, kitchen, apparel, toys, and jewelry emerged as top sellers, while premium products — from side-by-side refrigerators to MacBook Air M4 — saw exponential growth.

Amazon Business also recorded a 6X growth in new customer sign-ups and 4.4X increase in bulk orders during the first 24 hours. Customers leveraged Amazon Pay for one in four purchases, with international flight bookings up 45% from last year.

Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Amazon India, said, “The first 48 hours of the Great Indian Festival 2025 have been our biggest ever. We are humbled by the response from customers and sellers across India. The #GSTBachatUtsav initiative has been particularly well-received, benefiting millions of shoppers and supporting small businesses nationwide.”

The festival continues till Diwali, offering daily deals, new product launches, and attractive discounts across categories including smartphones, laptops, TVs, fashion, beauty, appliances, furniture, and groceries.
