Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 sees surge in premium shopping across Telangana as Diwali deals go live
The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 has recorded strong sales growth across Telangana, with Hyderabad leading demand for premium TVs, kitchen appliances, and silver coins. The platform’s “Diwali Special” deals are now live, offering massive discounts across multiple categories.

Hyderabad: The Amazon Great Indian Festival (GIF) 2025, which began on September 22, has witnessed enthusiastic participation from customers and sellers across Telangana, driving robust growth across key categories including smartphones, electronics, fashion, home and kitchen products, groceries, and large appliances.
As part of the ongoing “Diwali Special” phase, customers can now avail up to 40% off on smartphones; up to 80% on electronics, fashion, and home products; up to 70% on everyday essentials; up to 65% on TVs and large appliances; and up to 50% on Amazon Fresh, Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle devices. Customers can also benefit from a 10% instant discount on credit and debit cards from Axis Bank, RBL, IDFC, and Bank of Baroda.
“Customers across Telangana are celebrating the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 in a bigger way than ever before. From premium TVs and jewellery to everyday essentials and local products from Amazon Bazaar, the state has shown tremendous growth in online shopping,” said Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Amazon India.
He added that with GST savings, bank offers, and Amazon Pay discounts, festive shopping has become more affordable and rewarding. “As we head towards Dhanteras and Diwali, we continue to offer customers unmatched value, selection, and convenience,” he said.
During the first 10 days of the sale, Amazon saw record participation from small and medium businesses (SMBs), with an unprecedented number of sellers from Telangana. Over 50% more SMBs crossed ₹1 crore in sales compared to last year, underscoring the growing role of digital marketplaces in driving inclusive growth across India.
Key festive trends in Telangana:
Premium upgrades lead the way: Smartphones priced above ₹20,000 saw strong double-digit growth. In Hyderabad, premium soundbars and 55-inch TVs grew 25% year-on-year (YoY), led by Hisense, TCL, and Samsung. Premium appliances such as washer-dryers grew over 100% YoY, and silver coins surged 15X.
Home and kitchen boost: Kitchen appliances saw a 130% YoY rise in Hyderabad, driven by vacuum cleaners and cookware. Products like LED bulbs, chandeliers, recliners, and home security systems also saw higher demand.
Grocery and daily essentials: Amazon Fresh recorded nearly 40% YoY growth, with Hyderabad customers buying 3.7X more avocados and 4.4X more milk compared to last year.
Beauty and fashion trends: Beauty products grew 1.5X, hair styling 1.6X, and makeup 2X. Men’s watches surged 12X, women’s fashion (Kurtis, sarees) rose 8X, and men’s ethnic wear doubled in demand.
Gardening essentials gain traction: Lawn and garden product sales jumped nearly 75% YoY, led by landscaping and gardening tools.
Amazon also reported that 1 in 4 customers are now using Amazon Pay instruments, with UPI contributing to a quarter of total orders — up 11% YoY. One in 10 orders were made using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card.
