Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated on grand scale in Telangana’s Karimnagar

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu garlanded the statue of Ambedkar in Manthani town

KARIMNAGAR: The birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar was celebrated on a grand scale in the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Monday.

Public representatives including Ministers, MLAs, collectors, police commissioners, SPs, government officials and leaders of various Dalit organisations paid rich tributes to the leader by garlanding his statues.

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu garlanded the statue of Ambedkar in Manthani town. Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Satyanarayana participated in celebrations held in Karimnagar town.

General Manager, National Thermal Power Corporation, Alok Kumar Tripathi took part in celebrations held at Ambedkar Park, PTS, NTPC Ramagundam. Central NBC Leader Babar Saleem Pasha and other trade union leaders also participated.

Celebrations were also held in Indurthy of Chigurumamidi mandal.
