Andhra Pradesh govt caps CT scan rate at Rs 3000

Collection of higher rates would attract action, the Health department warned and also directed to register all CT scan Covid positive cases online

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh government has issued special orders to hospitals and laboratories fixing the rate for CT scan at Rs.3,000 in a bid to control COVID-19.

Collection of higher rates would attract action, the Health department warned here on Sunday. It also directed to register all CT scan Covid positive cases online and on the COVID-19 dashboard.


The government which had included COVID treatment in YSR Aarogyasri scheme since last year, has so far provided free treatment to 1.02 lakh patients, sending Rs.309.61 crore in the process.

In all, 1,01,387 patients were treated free of cost till April 23, according to officials.
