Cyberabad SOT raided The Pendent farmhouse in Moinabad and stopped an unauthorised late night liquor party allegedly hosted by an Andhra Pradesh MLC and his partner. Police seized liquor and hookah equipment and booked the farmhouse owner and organiser. Investigation continues
Latenight party without permission stopped on Hyderabad outskirts
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) busted an unauthorised late-night liquor party at ‘The Pendent’ farmhouse at Himayathnagar in Moinabad on the outskirts on Thursday night.
The Rajendranagar SOT team conducted surprise checks and reportedly detained Andhra Pradesh MLC and his partner for allegedly hosting the event without any prior permission. They were let off later.
According to information available, the couple organised a birthday celebration at the farmhouse, during which liquor was served and hookah was used in violation of excise and public safety regulations.
Police seized at least 10 foreign liquor bottles and hookah equipment from the spot.
Preliminary information suggests that at least 30 people were present including a few political associates, at the gathering.
The Moinabad Police booked a case against Subhash, the farm house owner and event organiser Parthasarathy, for conducting a party without permission and for possession of prohibited material. Further investigation is in progress.
