Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has set up a committee to look into the aspect of movie ticket rates in the state. Orders were issued to this effect on Tuesday.

Principal Secretary Home Viswajit will be chairman of the committee which has asits members the Principal Secretaries of Revenue, Finance, and Municipal Administration,m Information Commissioner, Law Secretary, Joint Collector of Krishna district, film theatres’ owners, distributors and representatives of cinegoers’ association.


Besides categorising theatres, the committee will also decide the rates of movie tickets and send its recommendations to the government.
