Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar along with senior officials visited the Tank Bund on Sunday and reviewed the security arrangements on the stretch in view of the road closure between 5 pm and 10 pm to faciliate pedestrians.

He also inspected the arrangements made by the traffic police to ensure implementation of diversions and free flow of traffic on the alternate routes.

Anjani Kumar said the State government has taken up beautification of Tank Bund and lot of efforts were being made to make it one of the most sought after tourist destination of the city.

“Tank Bund is a historical place of the city, it is a symbol for Hyderabad. Many visitors have compared the place with tourist places in various foreign countries including New York. The beautification on Tank Bund is done to ensure people visit the place and spend quality time with their families,” the Commissioner said.

After a detailed review the city police imposed traffic restrictions on the stretch and the flow of traffic is smooth, he added.
