Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer Anjani Kumar took charge as Director-General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Saturday.
He was among the 30 IPS officers, who were transferred by the State government in a major reshuffle carried out on Friday. The State government appointed another senior IPS officer CV Anand as City Police Commissioner replacing Anjani Kumar.
Anjani Kumar served as City Police Commissioner from March 2018 till December 24, 2021.
After 1989 batch IPS officer J Purnachandra Rao’s retirement in September, Crime Investigation Department (CID) chief Govind Singh was holding additional charge of ACB. After taking charge, Anjani Kumar conducted a review meeting with the ACB officials.
