Hyderabad: With an intention to replicate Telangana’s TIF-MSME Green Industrial Park model developed at Dandumalkapur, Choutuppal, a delegation from Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) visited the park on Friday.
Spread over 462 acres, the TIF-MSME Green Industrial Park is developed by Telangana Industrialists Federation (TIF) and State Government. It is a unique model, where in the State Government provided the land and external infrastructure, while the internal infrastructure was being developed by TIF.
Led by APIIC Chairman Mettu Govind Reddy, the APIIC delegation including Tirupati MP Gurumurthy, AP Tourism Corporation Chairman A Varaprasad Reddy and others studied different aspects about the TIF-MSME Green Industrial Park.
TSIIC Chairman G. Balamallu and TIF president K Sudheer Reddy welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the park. The delegation was given a presentation on the layout, plotting, roads, drainage, rain water drainage system, common facility centre, industrial training centre and greenery.
It is the largest MSME Park developed in South India. The striking aspect about this park is provision of Integrated Industrial Township, which will be equipped with all social infrastructure, including residential quarters for workers, schools, hospitals and other facilities, TIF president K Sudheer Reddy said.
Industries Minister KT Rama Rao particularly stressed on development of integrated township as a means to promote ‘walk to work’ culture. This serves multiple benefits like reducing congestion in Hyderabad, avoiding traffic, arresting pollution and increasing workforce productivity, he said.
Launched in 2019, already 120 industrial units have completed construction of respective units and the balance units will be ready by December 2022.
The park is set up with an investment of nearly Rs.1, 600 crore in 462 acres and would generate employment for 30,000 people. There is scope to expand the park by another 1200 acres with a total investment of Rs.5, 000 crore.
“The APIIC delegation studied different aspects as the AP Government is planning to replicate the Telangana’s TIF-MSME Green Industrial Park model at Sri City, near Sri Kalahasti,” Sudheer Reddy said.
