Hyderabad: The Joint Action Committee of Telangana Employees, Gazetted Officers, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners appealed to the government to waive crop loans of low income employees.
In a representation to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the JAC Secretary General E Sreenivasa Rao said many employees hail from rural area and their livelihood depends on agriculture income.
The loans raised for cultivation may be additional financial burden to the employees and cannot meet the expenses from the meager salaries. Considering the hardships, crop loans of low salaried employees up to Junior Assistant cadre in all departments, including class IV staff, should be waived, he urged.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Gazetted Officers Association requested the Chief Secretary to exempt field level officers from toll tax payments.
In a representation to the Chief Secretary, the Association said field level officers had to pay toll fee for government vehicles, including hired vehicles for official use. But the toll fee paid by the officers was not reimbursed, the Central Association said and wanted the government to exempt the toll charges for government vehicles, including hired vehicles for official use.
