Hyderabad: Around 50 passengers were reportedly left stranded after officials of the Khairatabad Regional Transport Authority (RTA) seized a private travels bus that was en route from Hyderabad to Rajasthan on Saturday.

According to information available, the bus was taken to the Khairatabad RTA office along with all those on board. They alleged that authorities failed to arrange an alternative vehicle after seizing the bus, forcing them to remain inside the vehicle throughout the night.

Passengers said they faced severe hardship due to the lack of food and access to proper restroom facilities. Women, children and elderly travellers were among those affected.

Even after several hours, the passengers and the seized bus reportedly remained at the RTA office premises, leaving many frustrated and upset.

RTA officials have not responded to the matter.
