Arrangements for Jubilee Hills bypoll in full swing
Arrangements for the Jubilee Hills bypoll were underway on Monday, with 2,060 polling personnel deployed and EVMs and VVPATs shifted from strong rooms. District Election Officer R V Karnan and Joint CP Tafseer Iqbal supervised the final poll arrangements.
Hyderabad: Arrangements, including polling personnel deployment and shifting of EVMs and VVPAT machines from strong rooms set up in Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy, are in full swing on Monday.
A total of 2,060 polling personnel, including Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), and other Polling Officers (OPOs), were deputed for the Jubilee Hills by-poll.
The district election officer, R V Karnan, made elaborate arrangements regarding EVMs. A total of 2,394 ballot units, 561 controlling units, and 595 VVPATs were kept ready, keeping in view that 58 candidates are in the fray.
Webcasting live streaming was also arranged in all 407 polling stations and will be operational from 7 am onwards to 6 pm, till the end of the polling.
On Monday, District Election Officer R V Karnan and Joint CP Tafseer Iqbal visited the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Stadium and supervised the process of poll arrangements.
