BRS MLA KP Vivekananda criticised MLC K. Kavitha for her recent remarks against senior party leaders, urging her to introspect and avoid undermining the legacy of BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Addressing a press conference, he said her comments during the Jubilee Hills election campaign belittled the efforts of party workers and damaged the organisation.
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA KP Vivekananda on Sunday urged MLCK. Kavitha to engage in introspection, stating that she was undermining BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s legacy by indulging in personal attacks targeting senior leaders of the party.
Addressing a news conference here, he said she enjoyed high regard in the organisation all the time, but her disparaging remarks of late against the party leaders were uncalled for and condemnable. He expressed dismay over her recent outbursts targeting the BRS leadership, particularly during the Jubilee Hills election campaign.
“She belittled the efforts of the BRS workers in the Jubilee Hills election,” Vivekananda stated, adding that her personal attacks and allegations against party leaders were “hurting and causing damage to the organisation”.
The criticism levelled by Kavitha targeting several prominent leaders in the party was unbecoming of her as the daughter of the BRS chief, he said, highlighting her glaring omission of the anarchy created by the Congress party in the State during the past two years.
Vivekananda also credited the BRS’s aggressive opposition strategy for forcing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stepped out of his office buildings to campaign actively, a move he called the “victory of the opposition.”
Stating that Kavitha was falling into the trap of the Congress party, he praised the resilience shown by other party stalwarts, including BRS working president KT Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao for their fighting spirit, which he said served as a morale booster for the party workers and cadre.
He advised Kavitha that while she was free to float a party and decide an ideology, such actions should not play into the hands of the Congress.
“This is the belief of every party worker and leader that Telangana would be back on the rails only with K. Chandrashekhar Rao coming back as the Chief Minister,” he said.
