Hyderabad: All arrangements are in place for the conduct of Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) elections at Jubilee Hills Public School on Sunday.
The polling will start at 8am and end by 2pm. The counting of votes will begin from 4pm.
Meanwhile, both the contenders Manchu Vishnu and Prakash Raj have urged the MAA artistes to exercise their franchise. The results are likely to be declared by 8pm.
The day before the polling, supporters from both the panels made some heated exchanges and allegations.
Senior actor Naresh, who is extending support to the Manchu Vishnu panel, accused Prakash Raj of distributing money to woo voters.
In a video statement, Naresh appealed to artistes, “We came to know that Prakash Raj and his panel members are bribing voters at the last minute to get support. I request members to take the money and vote for your conscience.”
Reacting to Naresh, actor Srikanth said it is common for Naresh to play such tricks in MAA polls.
“I request Naresh to stop this mud-slinging propaganda in the last minute. We all know how Naresh plays tricks to change voters’ minds. Prakash Raj has never been involved in distributing money. It’s not his culture,” he said.
