Yadadri-Bhongir: Endowments Minister Alolla Indrakaran Reddy on Friday said all arrangements to perform rituals before relaunching of darshan at Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple were under progress.
After participating in pooja at Balalayam on the hill shrine, the Minister inspected the main temple where works have almost been completed.
Speaking to the media, Indrakaran Reddy said the main temple works and pushkarini (temple pond) were completed 100 per cent. The works of gold plating of select structures would also be completed much before the reopening of the main temple. Renovation of Shivalayam on the hill shrine was also completed. Kalyana Katta and presidential suite were readied for the opening. Experts, who arrived from Chennai were setting up Kalashas for Vimana Gopuram and these works would be completed as early as possible, he said, adding that all the civil works would also be completed at the earliest.
Stating that it was decided to conducted Mahothghatana before reopening of the main temple, he said the State government had taken up measures to provide all the required items for the conduct of the auspicious ritual. A week long Sudarshana Maha Yagan would be held with 1008 homa gundams at Yadadri from March 21. Yagam would be conducted as per the suggestions of pontiff Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami. In all, 6,000 veda pundits would participate in the yagam. Darshan would restart at the main temple from March 28 following Maha Samprokshana.
The Minister said work at the bus bay and queue complexes were going on at a brisk pace and would be completed by the time of reopening of the temple.
Earlier, Indrakaran Reddy held a review meeting with the officials in the office of Executive Officer on the hill shrine. YTDA Vice Chairman Kishan Rao, Endowments Commissioner Anil Kumar and temple architect Anand Sai were also present.
