Asifabad: Another tiger, reportedly from Maharashtra, strays into Telangana forests

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Another tiger strayed into the forests of Telangana, reportedly from Maharashtra. Its movement was recorded on a CCTV camera trap installed in the forests of Sirpur (T) range on Saturday.
Forest officials said the tiger might have entered the forests of Telangana in search of territory. They stated that the nativity, gender and age of the tiger were yet to be ascertained.
They informed that its movement was being tracked by animal trackers. Awareness was being created among villagers over the presence of tigers in the forests in different parts of the district.

The movement of the tigers is triggering panic among residents of forest fringe villages as some of them attack humans in farms.
On November 30, a male tiger from Maharashtra attacked Rauthu Suresh while he was harvesting the cotton crop at Dubbagudem village in Sirpur (T) mandal. Morle Lakshmi (21) was suspected to have mauled by the same tiger to death while she was engaged in harvesting the cotton crop at Easgaon village in Kagaznagar mandal On November 29.
