Asifabad court sentences man to 10 years jail for growing ganja as intercrop

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court here on Thursday sentenced a man to 10 years of imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000 for growing ganja in his farm four years ago.
District Sessions Court principal judge MV Ramesh delivered the judgement awarding the term and fine against Athram Bheem from Kolamguda in Siprur (T) mandal by finding him guilty for raising ganja as an intercrop in his red crop in his farm on April 25, 2021.
The court cross-questioned eye witnesses and examined pieces of evidence before delivering the verdict. Meanwhile, the same court sentenced Jadi Sweekar and Kumram Sai Kishor to 5 years of jail and fined Rs 10,000 each for peddling the ganja in Kagaznagar on April 25, 2021.
