Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Sirpur (T) MLA Koneru Konappa asserted that the remote Dahegaon mandal would be developed on many spheres. He formally inaugurated a high-level bridge built across Erravagu at Girivelli village in Dahegaon mandal on Saturday. Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10.5 crore, the facility will be a boon to residents of 11 interior villages.

Addressing a gathering, Konappa said that he would address the major challenges of Sirpur (T) constituency and assured to lay special focus on Dahegaon which was ignored by successive governments. He stated that the previous legislators had neglected the development of the remote mandal and had not taken steps for constructing the bridge, a long pending demand of the locals. The MLA claimed that he had brought the pathetic plight of residents of the eleven habitations due to lack of the bridge to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and managed to secure funds for creating the facility. He reasoned that the apathy of executing agency of the bridge caused delay in completing the works, inconveniencing the rural folks.

With the advent of the facility, the residents of Digida, Girivelli, Etapalli, Mettam, Kharji, Loha, Rampur, Shankarpuram, Motlaguda, Ravulapalli, Tepergaon settlements located in interior parts of this mandal will be easily able to access external world in the monsoon and reach hospitals during medical emergencies. They were facing untold hardships for shifting pregnant women and victims of road accidents to the hospitals.

ZPTC member Ramarao, Dahegaon Mandal Parishad President K Sulochana Goud, Vice MPP Tirupati Goud, Girivelli Sarpanch Karu Rajanna and TRS leaders Algam Mallesh and Nazeer Ahmed were present.
