Asifabad: Man kills alcoholic father who refused to stop drinking

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: An enraged youngster beat his father to death after the latter refused to stop drinking alcohol. The bizarre incident took place in Andevelli village in Kaghaznagar mandal on Friday, police said.
Easgaon police said that the Pulagani Raghavulu (60) was attacked by his son Beeraiah with a crowbar. Raghavulu sustained head injuries lead to his instantaneous death.
He was addicted to liquor and was not paying heed to his son’s advice to quit the habit. On Friday, he consumed alcohol at the funeral ceremony of his uncle and wannted to consume liquor again in the evening. Beeraiah tried to prevent him from going outside. In a fit of rage, he attacked his father with a crowbar.
ASP Bala Swamy, CI Rajendra Prasad, probationary SI Srikanth visited the scene of the crime and inquired about the incident. Pochakka, wife of the farmer, lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered against Beeraiah. Investigations were taken up.
