Kumram Bheem Asifabad: BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar expressed his anger against police officials for delaying a probe into the sensational suicide of Thimmide Rajeshekhar, an accountant from Agarguda village.
Speaking to the media personnel here on Wednesday, Praveen Kumar said that there was no headway in the probe into the suicide even after a month. He felt that the accused person and employer of Rajashekhar who was released on bail was likely to influence witnesses using his proximity to MLC Dande Vittal.
He regretted that investigating officers did not record statements of witnesses so far, indicating a sluggish pace of the probe. He wondered as to why the officials were delaying the investigation even as Rajashekhar left a death statement before dying while undergoing treatment.
BRS leader asked the police why no case was registered against a woman who was accused of harassing the accountant till now. He promised to support the accountant’s family.
It may be noted here that Rajashekhar attempted suicide on June 23, due to alleged harassment by Krishna for taking a loan of Rs 10,000. He died while being treated the next day.
