Asifabad: Kumram Bheem Asifabad district stood in the top position by registering 60 percentage of pass in Intermediate I year vocational course of which results were declared on Thursday. A total of 882 students appeared in the examinations of Intermediate vocational course I year. Of them, 531 pupils passed the examination. This suggested 60 percent of pass. While boys accounted for 307, there were 224 girl students. Adilabad and Nirmal districts saw 53 and 46 percent of pass, while Mancherial district recorded 46 percent of pass.
Similarly, Kumram Bheem Asifabad district was at the third spot in general Intermediate I year with achieving 58 percentage of pass. As many as 3,014 students passed in the examination as against the total strength of 5,208 pupils who appeared in the test. Both Adilabad and Nirmal district registered 56 percent of pass and 55 percent of pass respectively. A sum of 5,592 students cleared their all subjects when compared to the total of 9,941 pupils in Adilabad district. A total of 4,350 students passed in the examination as against the total size of 7,924 students. Mancherial district appeared in the bottom by recording 35 percent of pass. Barely 2, 915 students passed in the examination out of the total 8,366 students.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad District Intermediate Education Officer Dr Sridhar Suman attributed the outstanding academic performance of students to planning, supervision and quality teaching by lecturers. He said that the district figured at the top position due to efforts of the authorities concerned and qualified teachers. He added that students were interested in regularly attending classes.
