Ather Energy introduces ‘2025 Ather 450’ with increased range, traction control
The news 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery now offers a range of up to 130 km, with an ideal driving condition (IDC) range of 161 km. Similarly, the Ather 450 Apex delivers an IDC range of 157 km.

Bengaluru: EV two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy on Saturday introduced the 2025 Ather 450 with a host of new updates on Saturday. The company has significantly improved the range of its scooters with the latest updates.
In a press release, Ather said that 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery now offers a range of up to 130 km, with an ideal driving condition (IDC) range of 161 km. Similarly, the Ather 450 Apex delivers an IDC range of 157 km. For models with smaller batteries, the Ather 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery and the Ather 450S both provide a practical range of up to 105 km, with IDC ranges of 126 km and 122 km, respectively.
To achieve these enhancements, Ather collaborated with MRF to develop new multi-compound tyres for the 2025 Ather 450, improving efficiency and overall range. Additionally, the Magic TwistTM feature optimizes energy usage for a more efficient ride.
The 2025 Ather 450X and Ather 450 Apex also come with Multi-Mode Traction Control for improved safety. This system prevents slipping on low-friction surfaces and offers three modes: Rain Mode, Road Mode, and Rally Mode, catering to different riding conditions.
The updated scooters are priced as follows (ex-showroom Bengaluru): the 2025 Ather 450S starts at ₹1,29,999, the 2025 Ather 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery starts at ₹1,46,999, the 2025 Ather 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery is priced at ₹1,56,999, and the 450 Apex is available at ₹1,99,999 (inclusive of Pro Pack). These updates aim to offer riders a better and more reliable experience, making Ather’s electric scooters even more suitable for daily use.
