Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday dangled a fund carrot for villagers in Karimnagar, stating that if they elected a BJP-backed candidate unanimously in the forthcoming panchayat polls, he would offer Rs 10 lakh instantly for development works from his MP LADS funds.
“If your village elects a BJP-supported sarpanch unanimously in Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, I will directly send Rs 10 lakh for that village’s development – no delays, no excuses,” Sanjay Kumar said on X.
“As your MP, I have MPLADS funds available. You already know how we have brought in crores through CSR and invested them in improving education and healthcare. As a Union Minister, I’ll secure even more central funds to strengthen your panchayat’s development,” he added.
He also alleged that if Congress or BRS-backed candidates won by any chance, new funds would not come and that even central funds might get diverted.
“Don’t fall for their tricks. Don’t fall for their inducements,” he added.
