Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar was among select invitees to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon. While the officials followed protocol, Sanjay’s presence among select invitees to receive the Prime Minister and later, participate in official and public meetings, raised many eyebrows in the wake of a POCSO case registered against his son Bageerath.
According to the official schedule, Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, BJP MPs and other elected representatives, were among the select invitees receiving the Prime Minister at Begumpet Airport upon his arrival from Bengaluru. On behalf of the State government, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and others participated.
Sanjay accompanied Modi during the official programmes pertaining to the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for multiple infrastructure and industrial projects in Hyderabad. He was seen seated next only to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on the stage.
However, only Revanth Reddy along with Kishan Reddy were allowed to felicitate the Prime Minister on the stage. Sanjay then continued alongside Modi at the BJP’s public meeting at Parade Grounds in the evening.
