Rajanna-Sircilla: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday claimed that ‘urban naxalites’ were responsible for the encounter deaths of Maoists.
Calling ‘urban naxalites’ traitors, he said innocent people from poor backgrounds were moving through the forests with weapons after trusting ‘urban naxalites’. Maoists should not be deceived by falling for this trap, he said, reacting to the killing of Maoist Central Committee Member Hidma by security agencies.
Stating that ‘urban naxalites’ were enjoying their lives along with family members living in towns and amassing properties by lobbying with whichever party held power, he said Maoists who trusted them were losing their lives in the forests. Appealing to them to give up arms and join the mainstream, he said Maoists would completely be eliminated by March 2026.
