Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s evolving dining landscape has welcomed another international culinary brand with the arrival of Baan Phadthai, the Bangkok-based restaurant that has been featured on the Michelin Guide Bangkok’s Bib Gourmand list since 2018. The restaurant has opened its first Hyderabad outlet at Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City in Hitech City, making it the city’s first Michelin-recognised Thai restaurant.

Founded by entrepreneur Frédéric Meyer in Bangkok in 2016, Baan Phadthai has earned a reputation for serving authentic Thai cuisine rooted in traditional recipes and flavours. The Hyderabad launch follows the success of the brand’s two Bengaluru outlets.

The restaurant’s signature offering is its Phad Thai, prepared using premium rice noodles and a proprietary 18-ingredient sauce designed to balance sweet, tangy and umami flavours. Beyond its flagship dish, the menu features a selection of Thai favourites, including Gai Tawt, Poh Pia Tawt, Satay, Tom Yum Kaichiau and Laab.

To mark its Hyderabad debut, Baan Phadthai has introduced eight exclusive dishes, including Yum Makuer, a smoky Thai eggplant salad, and Gai Yang Vichianburi, an Esaan-style char-grilled chicken dish. New Rice Sets featuring curries and stir-fried specialities have also been added to the menu.

The beverage programme includes Thai-inspired mocktails such as Jeed Jaad, Milo Dino and Som Tum, alongside traditional drinks including Cha Yen and Cha Manao.

The 64-seat restaurant draws inspiration from Bangkok’s historic shophouses and neighbourhood markets, featuring deep-blue interiors, warm lighting, vintage décor and contemporary Thai artwork.

With its Hyderabad launch, Baan Phadthai brings an authentic taste of Thailand’s culinary culture to the city.
