Banned tobacco products worth Rs 10 lakh seized in Hyderabad

Two persons were taken into custody

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team raided two houses at Chandrayangutta and Bhavaninagar on Sunday and seized huge quantity of tobacco products.

Two persons were taken into custody. Acting on a tip off, the Task Force team raided two houses at Naseebnagar, Phoolbagh under Chandrayangutta police stations limits and Fatehshahnagar under Bhavaninagar police station limits.

The two persons were procuring gutkha and foreign cigarettes illegally and selling it to small traders, said S Raghavendra, Inspector Task Force (south).

The police seized products worth Rs 10 lakh. Both the persons along with the property were handed over to Chandrayangutta police station for further action.
