Hyderabad: As a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has contributed Rs 45 lakh towards procurement of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) equipment for Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad.

The equipment was inaugurated at ACDS in the presence of Major General RK Singh, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana & Andhra Sub Area & Chairman, Army College of Dental Sciences, Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd), CMD, BDL, Shri N Srinivasulu, Director (Finance), BDL, Army officials, doctors and students of the college, on Monday.

CBCT is a 3-D imaging modality, which allows collecting valuable diagnostic information for a range of dental and maxillofacial applications, including Endodontics, Implantology, Orthognathics, Orthodontics and oral & maxillofacial surgeries. Speaking on the occasion, CMD, BDL Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd) said, “The equipment installed today will serve as a boon for the economically weak patients in addition to the retired defence personnel.”
