Kothagudem: The Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam at Bhadrachalam is rapidly expanding its digital services to enhance convenience for devotees and improve transparency in temple operations.
The temple authorities have already launched a website that allows devotees to book tickets for 24 regular and special puja sevas, as well as accommodation in temple cottages. An e-Hundi facility has also been made available on the website for online donations.
To further ease the ticket purchasing process for darshan and prasadam, the temple has installed computerised kiosks on its premises. Federal Bank has provided three machines, of which two have been set up at laddu counters and one on the western side of the temple steps.
Negotiations are underway with banks to install more such kiosks across the temple grounds, according to temple Executive Officer L Rama Devi.
She also informed that a mobile application titled Bhadrachalam Temple Information (BTI) has been launched recently. The app serves as a comprehensive source of information for devotees, offering details such as daily pooja schedules, seva bookings, temple history, significance, and guidance for visitors from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, other Indian States and abroad.
Notably, Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam is the first temple in Telangana to launch such an application, which offers information on 22 different temple services. Locations linked to services are integrated with Google Maps for easier navigation.
The app also includes information on the temple’s sub-shrines, including Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, Sri Govindaraja Temple, Parnasala Temple, Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, and Sri Annapurna Sahitha Kasi Visweswara Temple, the EO said.
Additionally, the temple administration is taking steps to digitise the accounts department soon. This move is aimed at enhancing transparency, eliminating manual errors in record-keeping, easing verification processes, preventing corruption, and reducing pressure on staff, Rama Devi added.
