Adilabad: Addi Bhoja Reddy has been unanimously elected as the chairman of Adilabad District Central Cooperative Bank. The elections to the post were held here on Saturday.
The sudden demise of the chairman Kamble Namdev in July last necessitated the election.
Speaking to pressmen, Bhoja Reddy stated that he would strive hard for growth of the bank and strengthening cooperative societies. He expressed gratitude to Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy and Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna, legislators Rathod Bapu Rao and Koneru Konappa. He thanked directors of Primary Agriculture Cooperative societies who extended their cooperation to unanimously elect him as the chairman.
He was congratulated by Indrakaran Reddy, Ramanna and Bapu Rao.
The election became curious when TRS party”s senior leaders, Bhoja Reddy, Raghanundan Reddy belonging to Nirmal district and Baluri Govadrdhan Reddy of Jainath competed with each other to get the post. However, the high command of the party backed the candidature of Bhoja Reddy supported by Jogu Ramanna, Bapu Rao and Konappa.
