Bhupalpally: Collector Rahul Sharma has directed the officials to speed up the land acquisition work for setting up the conveyor belt of Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant(KTPP).
The collector held a meeting with the officials of TGGenco and Revenue department on land acquisition for construction of conveyor belt for coal transport to KTPP, Relief & Rehabitation (R&R) package for Dubbapally village, demarcation of KTPP lands and R&R package for Tadicharla area on Saturday.
About 133 acres of land had to be acquired for 17 kilometers from Tadicharla to KTPP in Chelpur of Ghanpuram mandal and out of it about 14 kilometers of land had been acquired by the district administration, he said, adding that to speed up the land acquisition for the remaining 3.5 km, as a conveyor belt had to be set up across the villages of C Palli and Kompally, the land acquisition had to be done by talking to the displaced people. Compensation had been given to the displaced persons, he said.
