Bhupalpally Collector directs officials to take steps to procure paddy

Jayashankar Bhupalpally: District Collector Bhavesh Mishra on Thursday directed the authorities to take steps to procure paddy by opening the purchase centres in the district.
Addressing a meeting with the officials concerned at the Collector’s office, the Collector said that the purchasing of paddy was a sensitive issue at present and the authorities should take steps to ensure that the paddy harvested in the district was procured on time from the farmers without giving any scope of allegations or charges.
According to the officials of the Agriculture and Civil Supplies Department, 160 procurement centres will be set up across the district through Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PAC), District Rural Development Authority (DRDA)-Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) and Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC).
Joint Collector Kurakula Swarnalatha, District Civil Supplies Officer Gaurishankar, Civil Supplies Corporation District Manager Raghavendar, District Cooperative Officer Maddileti, Marketing Officer Shekhar, District Agriculture Officer Vijay Bhaskar, District Rural Development Officer Purushottam, GCC Manager, Civil Supplies Department officials and others attended the meeting.
