Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Priyanka Varghese inspected the implementation of Palle Prakruthi Vanam and Haritha Haram programme in the district on Thursday. As part of the tour, she visited the Kudurupally village of Mahadevpur mandal in the district, along with District Collector S Krishna Aditya, and expressed happiness over the Palle Prakruthivanam and the facilities provided for the children for playing at the vanam.

Later, she visited the Lakshmi barrage (Medigadda) built as part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) and enquired with the irrigation officials about the availability of water in the reservoir.

Priyanka Varghese directed the District Forest Officer (DFO) Boddu Lavanya to take steps to plant saplings of different kinds on vacant land available at the Lakshmi barrage in a fortnight. She also visited the Lakshmi pump house (Kannepelly) and inspected the water supply through the gravity canal.
KLIS Engineer in Chief (ENC), N Venkateshwarlu explained about the pumping of water from the Lakshmi pump house to the OSD. Priyanka Varghese also inspected the Saraswathi (Annarm) barrage built across the Godavari River as part of the KLIS. Additional Collector Rizwan Bhasha Shaik, FDO, Mahadevpur, Vajra Reddy, Zilla Parishad CEO Shoba Rani, and other officials accompanied the OSD.
