Medak Collector suspends Polampally sarpanch over misconduct
Medak Collector Pratima Singh has suspended Polampally village sarpanch Kondi Rajyalakshmi for six months after her husband Swamy vandalised the panchayat office and cut down trees planted under Haritha Haram.

Medak: The district Collector Pratima Singh has suspended the sarpanch of Polampally village in Chegunta mandal, Kondi Rajyalakshmi on Friday. Rajyalakshmi’s husband Swamy cut down the trees planted under Haritha Haram, damaged furniture and toilets in the panchayat office and locked the panchayat office.
Swamy also participated in the general body meeting of the panchayat. Following multiple complaints, the Collector ordered an inquiry by appointing divisional panchayat officer, Toopran as an inquiry officer. As allegations proved true, Prathima Singh suspended the lady sarpanch for a period of six months.
