Sangareddy: Employees of Bisleri International Private Limited located at Pashamylaram Industrial Area demanded the intervention of Labour Minister and District incharge Minister G Vivekananda in restoring the employment of the workers who were removed from the service.
The employees have been staging protests at the Bisleri plant for the last few days. CITU leader Athimela Manik urged Vivekananda to hold discussions with the management to restore their employment besides making the Bisleri pay proper salaries and other benefits to all the workers.
Manik said that Bisleri had dismissed some workers, and transferred some others to far-off places after they established a trade union following the labour act.
He accused the management of taking autocratic decisions in violation of the labour act. Unless the Bisleri restores the employment of dismissed workers, Manik said that they would intensify their protests.
