Warangal Urban: Launching a scathing attack on the State government for its alleged failure in resolving peoples’ issues, senior BJP leader Nallu Indrasena Reddy said on Wednesday that the poor among the forward communities would teach a lesson to the government for not implementing the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota in educational institutions and job recruitment.
Addressing a press meet here, the former MLA alleged that the State government was not implementing the EWS reservations as it thought that credit for implementing the reservations for forward communities would go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“It is unfortunate that the State government is not implementing the EWS quota though many bright students are losing opportunities to join educational institutions to pursue higher education. The implementation of the EWS will not affect the existing quota for BCs, SCs, STs and other reserved categories,” he said.
Referring to vacancies in the posts of Vice-Chancellors (V-Cs) of State universities, he said that the administration at the varsities was adversely affected in the absence of regular V-Cs and demanded that the government take immediate steps to fill the vacancies.
Indrasena Reddy also demanded that the government take steps to distribute sheep to all the people hailing from Golla/Kuruma community who had applied long back. “The second phase of sheep distribution is yet to begin,” he added.
BJP Urban District President Rao Padma, Nishanth Eluka and other leaders were present at the press meet.
