Boats competition held in Mid Manair Reservoir in Sircilla district

Rajanna-Sircilla: A boat competition was held in the backwaters of Mid Manair Reservoir near Rudravaram of Vemulawada urban mandal on Friday.
On the occasion of Sankranti festival, Mudiraj Mastyakara Sangham organized theppala competition. A total of eight teams from seven villagers took part. Each team comprises three players. Fishermen associations have been conducting boat competitions during the last three years in MMD waters.
While Thuniki Raghu won the first prize, Kuna Kumar got the second place. Panduga Vamshi secured the third place. Government Chief Whip and local MLA Adi Srinivas along with Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan distributed prizes to winners while parting in valedictory function.
