Body of man swept away in stream recovered in Medak

One of two men swept away in Medak’s Gangamma vagu during heavy rains was found dead near Rajpet village on Thursday. The deceased, Bestha Satyam, was identified as a local resident, while search operations continue for the missing villager, Yada Goud.

Medak: The body of one of the two persons who went missing in a local stream was recovered near Rajpet village in Havelighanpur mandal on Thursday, a day after being swept away.

The deceased was identified as Bestha Satyam, a resident of Rajpet. With heavy rains lashing the region since Tuesday night, Gangamma vagu was in full spate. Satyam, along with another villager, Yada Goud, was swept away in the swollen stream.


While Satyam’s body was traced, efforts are on to locate Yada Goud, who remains missing.
