Body of man washed away in manhole found in Hyderabad

Ananthaiah along with another worker Shiva had entered into a manhole at Padmavathi Colony on August 3 and both went missing.

Hyderabad: The body of a worker who went missing after entering into a manhole to clear a sewerage line in LB Nagar, was found on Monday.

Ananthaiah along with another worker Shiva had entered into a manhole at Padmavathi Colony on August 3 and both went missing. While the body of Shiva was recovered the next day, Anathaiah remained missing since then.

The GHMC personnel who have been engaged in efforts to trace Ananthaiah found the body floating in a manhole around 10 feet deep in Padmavati Colony today.

Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (MRDCL) chairman and LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy was closely monitoring the search operations since August 4. Financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh each has been extended to families of two workers.
