During its 90-day sewerage special drive, the board identified insoluble waste from drainage pipelines as a key factor obstructing sewage flow. In a press release on Saturday, the water board explained that in multi-story building complexes, sewage first enters a silt chamber where solids are retained, allowing only wastewater to flow into the pipeline. This process prevents blockages and ensures smooth sewage flow.
The thrust is on infrastructure development, which will see another 30 flyovers and 18 foot overbridges being completed apart from the inauguration of a few other completed ones.
