Hanamkonda: Santhosh Manduva, founder president of the Sulakshya Seva Samithi, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), distributed books of different genres worth Rs 6,000 to 45 children of Oasis orphanage here on Wednesday on the occasion of his birthday.
He also served biryani to the children at the orphanage, and distributed snacks and food at the Ekashila old age home.
“I have been celebrating my birthday at Oasis Orphanage and Ekashila Old Age for the past 15 years. Though going out for a lunch with the family and partying with friends is part of the routine, spending time with the underprivileged children and abandoned is a special feeling as we get utmost satisfaction for being the reason for their smiles,” said Santosh who floated Sulakshya Seva Samithi in 2013 which has been striving for the well-being of the society.
